Read the text: Boiler and other combustion chambers

Boiler and other combustion chambers and a method for mix-combusting coal and rubber.

This invention relates to the combustion of metal-containing scrap rubber such as used tires in a combustion chamber equipped with a traveling-grate stoker without allowing binding of molten metal to the stoker for effective utilization of scrap rubber as a fuel for a boiler or the like. On the traveling-grate stoker of the combustion chamber, which travels from a rear part to a front part of the chamber, blocks of coal supplied from a coal feeding port in the front wall of the chamber is cast by a spreader into the chamber to form coal deposits in a substantially uniform thickness on the stoker for combustion. At the same time, scrap rubber is fed from a chute discharging into the combustion chamber through a side wall defining the chamber via a rotary valve built into the chute in adequate amounts and burned on the ash zone formed by already burned coal on the traveling-grate stoker.

Boiler with lower-upped furnace and thermal insulation;

standard control panel connected to the fan. The boiler’s body is built from welded certified boiler steel sheets with a fixed water grate with a movable cast iron grate in the combustion chamber. The convector part is made of specially formed ducts with washout holes on top and bottom, partially laid with chamotte. Unique air supply solution, where the air is pumped through numerous nozzles inside the combustion chamber.

The boiler is equipped with choke valves for chimney draught control.

Depending on the version, the boiler comes with a room thermostat and cleaning and maintenance tools.

In standard versions, movable grate and blowdown connection for water pumping and emptying is located on the right side of the boiler.

It is recommended to clean the grate before each fuel feeding.

To economize fuel consumption and obtain the power parameters and heat output indicated by the manufacturer, the combustion chambers and convection ducts must be kept clean.

In particular, ash and slag must be removed from the combustion chamber grate and walls.

The boiler should be cleaned with the choke valve fully open, when the thickness of tarnish on flue walls exceeds 1.0 – 2.0 mm, however at least once a month. The feeding chamber should be cleaned through the upper cleaning hole. In order to clean convection ducts, open the upper washout hole, remove the wool and chamotte bricks, clean carbon deposit and soot with a steel brush and remove through the lower washout hole. Make sure that the lower washout hole is tightly closed.

The chimney should be checked and cleaned, if necessary, at least once a year.

The door sealing cord, lock and hinges should be checked regularly, at least every 14 days. Any defects should be immediately repaired.

Sealant and sealing cord should be replaced regularly.

1. Match the left part with the right:

1.The convector part is made of                       a) chimney draught control.

2.Unique air supply solution, where the air is pumped through b) located on the right side of the boiler.

3.The boiler is equipped with choke valves for c) numerous nozzles inside the combustion chamber.

4.In standard versions, movable grate and blow dawn connection for water pumping and emptying is                                d) specially formed ducts with washout holes on top and bottom, partially laid with chamotte.

2. Complete the sentences with the suggested words:
